Eva Lininger Sharp, 94, a long time resident of The Dalles, Ore., died peacefully at Mill Creek Point Assisted Living Home April 5, 2017.<br>

She was born July 14, 1922, in Helena, Missouri, on a farm her parents had homesteaded. She was the youngest of five children. She attended school in Helena and graduated from Central High School in St. Joseph in 1941. She moved to Norfolk, Virginia during World War II, then to Southern California where she worked at Duromatics Engineering.<br>

She married Edward J. Sharp in 1949 and moved to the Sharp Ranch in The Dalles, which the family continues to operate. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2008.<br>

She worked for 28 years for the Wasco County ASC office, retiring in 1985. She later served five years on the Wasco County ASC Committee and worked two years for the USDA Department of Agriculture Service out of Portland. She always enjoyed working with the ranch and farm community. <br>
In retirement she volunteered at the hospital gift shop and at the Community Senior Center.<br>

She is survived by her sister, Ida Kinney; daughters, Patty Johnson (Dale), Tina Pope (Steve), and Gretchen Sharp; five grandsons, Mark Johnson, Matt Johnson, Chris Pope, Ed Hansen, Spencer Hansen, and four great grandchildren, Sam Johnson, Molly Johnson, Anders Johnson and Isaac Johnson.<br>

She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother as well as an accomplished businesswoman. She will be remembered for her love of life, beautiful smile, classy style, love of antiques, and unending care and love for her family.<br>

Funeral services will be held April 24, 2017, 2 p.m., at Spencer Libby and Powell Funeral Home, 1100 Kelly Avenue in The Dalles, followed by graveside services at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Cemetery. Reception will follow at the Sunshine Mill.<br>
